Welcome to The ’Wick
Established in 2023, our school café, The ’Wick, is proudly run by volunteers and has quickly grown into a much-loved part of our school community.
More than just a place to grab a coffee, The ’Wick is a hub for connection, a place to meet other families, catch up with familiar faces and feel part of the community that makes our school so special.
The continued support of our families is what keeps The ’Wick thriving. Whether you’re volunteering for a shift, baking something delicious or simply stopping by for a coffee, every contribution helps support our school and keeps this special little community hub going.
Open Monday & Friday mornings 8:30-9:30am
‘Wick FAQs
-
Not at all! No previous experience is needed. We’ll show you everything you need to know, and there will be other volunteers around to help.
-
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 4 shifts per term. This helps us keep the café running smoothly and ensures the workload is shared fairly across our community.
We only open from 8:30-9:30 Monday and Friday Mornings. We ask volunteers to arrive at 8:15 to open and everything is cleaned and closed by 10am
-
You don’t need to! We simply ask for a minimum of 4 shifts across each term, so you can choose shifts that work around your other commitments.

Why volunteer?
The ‘Wick is about much more than coffee! It has become a real meeting place for our school community. Somewhere parents, carers and families can connect, meet new people and feel more involved in school life.
It’s also a simple and practical way to give back to the school while getting to know some great people along the way.

Yes! Hot chocolates are available for students to enjoy before school.
To help everyone get to class on time (and avoid hot chocolate making its way into classrooms!), students cannot take hot chocolates to class.
Please make sure drinks are purchased with enough time to be enjoyed before the bell.
-
Absolutely! Bakers are always welcome. If coffee making isn’t your thing, you can support the café by contributing homemade baked goods for us to sell.
It’s a great way to get involved and support the café, even if being behind the counter isn’t for you.
